Man Sells Life

An Australian man who says he’s fed up with his life has decided to sell it.  45 year old Ian Usher, recently divorced and underemployed, is selling his “life”–his house, all his worldly possessions, even his place among his group of friends–on eBay.  Hopefully he’ll use an Auction Video style video on his listings, so we can see how it’s going.

Looking at his website, alife4sale.com, one cannot entirely tell what the story is.  He’s polite and marketing-driven, but any American reader cannot but assume this house and property is 3x what is appropriate for a dump truck driver.  Was his marriage ruined by debt, toys, and alcohol, like so many out here?  Is he just another 45 year old in his 2nd or 3rd mid life crisis, refusing to grow up and get a real job yet unable to survive in a society that requires it of 45 year olds?  More will come by June 22, the date of the big supply and demand showdown.
