CNN mentioned today that 18 years ago Teri Garr broke all the windows of her boyfriend’s house with a hammer after finding out that he was unfaithful. But America loves her anyway—she comments in interviews that even when her boyfriend (who turned out to be home) called the police, the police assumed she was the victim and offered to save her from the mean man without the hammer. Comedy gold, as were her movies. Yes, she now has multiple sclerosis and a year ago suffered a brain aneuryism.

In all seriousness, if you catch your spouse cheating, take a moment to see if they’re sincerely repentant. If not, bash their windows in or glean some equally cathartic ideas from any Carrie Underwood song.
