About The Union Statesman

The Union Statesman is Little Rock’s op-ed news source.  We launched online in March 2008 and are slowly working out rights issues in regards to which of our sections and writers will allow their articles to be published online.  As we build out, most articles will be op-ed, which seems to correspond to traffic anyway.

So what is a union statesman?  “A thinking patriot with a focus toward the union of states we call America.”  Many may use “union” to refer to the confederacy, but we generally do not.  Along the same lines, it is improper to assume “statesman” fundamentally refers to a privileged six foot tall white male from the self-important Northeast.
